Starwrath Public Playtest

Is it enough to merely defeat an enemy efficiently? Do you really beat someone if you just kill them? In Starwrath, you kick ass and look cool while doing it. The core of combat is fighting with style and brutality in equal measure. You don’t just kill your enemies; you outmatch and annihilate them in a magnificent blitz of blood and oil. The flames of your passion are your ultimate tool, allowing you to shrug off lethal blows and strike with limitless fury. Starwrath is a campy, dark space opera about honor, courage, hot bloodedness, and punching people so hard they explode in a fireball.

In this warring future, you are a warrior, a soldier, a fighter, but above all you are an artisan of death. You play as an elite fighter that has evolved far beyond modern possibilities by practicing the Paths of the Stellar Fist, highly advanced schools of martial arts that unlocks and exceeds the body’s natural limits.

 Legions of war machines and waves of liquid flesh perpetually threaten the galaxy; its species war amongst themselves in the name of their self-described utopias all while threatened by the devouring torrents of the Entity. The Federation holds the warring nations and collectives of the galaxy together against the Entity’s tide but cannot enforce lasting peace.

 Shadow wars sunder stars, terrorists strike for esoteric causes, the galaxy is wracked by war. The Federation has the onerous task of defending the Milky Way. Against the Entity, it deploys Golems, invincible war machines created to defend the galaxy, each possessing the power of a god or devil. To keep its unruly member nations in line, Painkillers, composed of multinational teams of elite warriors that are sent to thwart the plans of revolutionaries and terrorists. The flame of hope burns brightly in the galaxy, but not as one flame. Fan the flames to new heights. Take hold of the flame and don't let go.

This is a public draft of the game Starwrath, a d20 opposed metal, martial arts, occult, and sci fi TTRPG. The current version included contains rules for characters up to 3rd World, and enough Warrior Automaton enemies for creative combat encounters. More content will be added at a later date.

Currently provides 395 pages of content in 97,009 words, plus off book material in spreadsheets. As of now, the only content to be finished is enemies, art, layout enhancements, a better character sheet, and lore.
